European Art Nouveau Ceramics

Sensual, flowing forms, and floral and naturalistic ornamentation are the characteristics of the Art Nouveau and Reform movement sweeping almost the whole of Europe between 1885 and 1910. This exhibition shows a selection of Art Nouveau ceramics from the museum’s permanent collection. A highlight are French Art Nouveau works which stand out with their vivid and colourful glazes emphasising the aesthetic appeal of the material.
